Costales, Rhinos Beat Republic, 5-2

A nice crowd turned out to see the Rubber City Rhinos and So Cal Republic clash at House of the Republic.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the top prospect Oscar Costales, the Rubber City Rhinos stopped the So Cal Republic, 5-2. James Thompson, credited with the win, is now 9-1. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6.1 innings. Shinzo Sasaki picked up the save, his 22nd.
With Rubber City leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Costales hit a cutter from Lloyd Hunt for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rhinos ahead, 5-2.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Costales.
The second-place Rhinos have won 4 straight.
