Fans at Waterfront Park were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Portland Beavers take on the San Diego Hops.

Portland Beavers starter Félix Reina turned in a sterling performance against the San Diego Hops, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Reina picked up the win for Portland, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 10-4.

Doing his part for Portland was second baseman Roberto Flores, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, Flores was 1 for 4.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Reina said after the game.
