Hornets Take Down Prowlers, 10-4

The Eureka Hornets trumped the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 10-4, at Memorial Circle Park. Eureka catcher Ron Jeremy was named player of the game for his performance. He went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Barend Bilderbeek got the win, improving to 7-4. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The second-place Hornets have won 4 consecutive games.
Also having an impact was designated hitter Jorge Moreno, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first for Eureka. For the game, Moreno went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I like the roll we're on," said Eureka manager Stephen Jackson.
