Sasquatch Come Up Short at Rubber City
Rubber City starter Tom Hanson put a stranglehold on the Seattle offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Rhinos to a 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Hanson, now 10-2. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Shinzo Sasaki was called on to finish, recording his 21st save.

Billy Joel came through for Rubber City in the bottom of the fourth. With two out, Joel victimized Jun Nakayama with a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Rubber City on top, 2-1.

"We were in it," said Seattle manager Carl Best. "We just didn't score enough runs."

The Rhinos now have a record of 50-39.
