Raucous The Royal Court at Jersey Yards Crowd Propels Pioneers to 5-4 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Vancouver Pioneers topped the South Carolina Bombers by the score of 5-4 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Divisional Championship today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Vancouver starter Tony Velázquez, who threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball in the win.

Hiroya Shimada was a key contributor to the win for the Pioneers. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left. He was 2 for 4 with a double.

"It was a solid team effort," said Shimada after the game.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th, 2032 at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Slated to start are Beau Miller for South Carolina and Tony Velázquez for Vancouver.
