Game 5 was big. So was Eddie Zuniga.

The Chippewa starter rose to the occasion at Baylor Ballpark today, earning player of the game honors after leading the River Chiefs to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Zuniga threw 5 innings of shutout ball as the River Chiefs won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Single A World Series.

The River Chiefs liked what they saw from Zuniga. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Bush Wackers to no earned runs on 1 hit over 5.1 innings, and striking out 7.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Zuniga.

Game 6 is scheduled for Monday, October 25th, 2032 at The Reservation. Slated to start are Bobby Savoy for Brisbane and Lorenzo Chavez for Chippewa.
