2B Bahena Lights Up Bush Wackers for 5 RBIs as River Chiefs Tie R2
|
Chippewa second baseman Alex Bahena produced all the offense the River Chiefs would need today in the club's 8-0 win over the Brisbane Bush Wackers.
Bahena went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 and was named player of the game, while Chippewa moved into a tie in the Single A World Series. The River Chiefs and Bush Wackers are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Jim Feightner aided the Chippewa cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Chippewa manager Bruce Leah.
Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, October 21st, 2032 at Baylor Ballpark. Slated to start are Troy Lamb for the River Chiefs and Dario Reyes for the Bush Wackers.
