Sato, Vikings Wallop River Chiefs in Game 2 of R1
|
The Victoria Vikings relied on the hitting of designated hitter Jian Gang Sato to get by the Chippewa River Chiefs, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Single A League Championship today. For the game, Sato was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Victoria took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, José López hit a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Vikings.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
The next game is set to be played on Tuesday, October 12th, 2032 at The drakkar. Slated to start are Eddie Zuniga for the River Chiefs and Juan Cruz for the Vikings.
