Coal Miners Rally Past Flash for 4-3 Series Lead
The Antioch Coal Miners needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 3 today. The Coal Miners got took the 6-5 win against the Fairfield Flash in a walk-off at The Coal Mine. Antioch first baseman Jim Commo was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Coal Miners a 4-3 advantage in the best-of-7 Triple A World Series.

Víctor Sandoval was the walk-off hero for Antioch. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Coal Miners designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We've got a great group of guys," Sandoval said, "and we're having fun right now."
