Rock River Win to Pull Even With Carson City
The Rock River Rats and the Carson City Mustang will take the Double A League Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Rats beat the Mustang 8-1 at The Rat Hole to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Rock River right-hander Gonzalo Ramírez was named player of the game in the win after he threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball.

Rock River took the lead with no one out in the bottom of the third when Tucker Slade stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1 in favor of Rock River. For the day, Slade went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ramírez.

Game 7 is set to be played on Sunday, October 17th, 2032 at The Rat Hole. The scheduled starters for the game are Mike Steveson for Carson City and Adam Lewis for Rock River.
