Rock River Wins to Cut Carson City Lead to 3-2
|
The Rock River Rats have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Carson City Mustang, winning 6-3 at Cowboys Stadium today. Rats right-hander Douglas Pantall was named player of the game after he threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Rats to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.
In the top of the eighth inning, third baseman Nobuatsu Nakashima delivered a key hit for the Rats. With Rock River leading 2-1, he ripped a 2-run home run.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pantall said.
The next game is set to be played on Saturday, October 16th, 2032 at The Rat Hole. Slated to start are Pedro Robles for Carson City and Gonzalo Ramírez for Rock River.
