Carson City Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
Despite a great performance by Rock River designated hitter Elijah Brown, the Carson City Mustang defeated the Rats by the score of 6-5 at Cowboys Stadium today. Brown went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Mustang from moving one game closer to the Double A World Series. Carson City now leads the Double A League Championship 2-1.

Mo-ruo Nan's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Mustang. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Carson City leading 1-0, the left fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but 2-1 is a heck of a lot better than 1-2," Nan said.

The next game is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th, 2032 at Cowboys Stadium. Slated to start are Ben Crabb for the Rats and Maurice Bignold for the Mustang.
