2B Kono, Flash Destroy Coal Miners 11-3 to Force Game 7
The Fairfield Flash and the Antioch Coal Miners will take the Triple A World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Flash beat the Coal Miners 11-3 at The Coal Mine to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Fairfield designated hitter Susumu Kono was named player of the game in the win after he was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, Susumu Kono, hit a 3-run home run. It helped Fairfield seize the win.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Kono said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."

Game 7 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th, 2032 at The Coal Mine. Slated to start are Jesús Díaz for the Flash and Lester Bisdu for the Coal Miners.
