Red Bulls Hammered by Zijlstra, Fall Further Behind in R1
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks are one game away from a sweep of the Riverside Red Bulls today after a 8-5 road win at Red Bull Stadium. Shamrocks catcher Conrad Zijlstra was named player of the game, as he was 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Pacifica now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.
John Pinnock's at-bat in the top of the sixth inning was a big one for Pacifica. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Pacifica leading 7-5, the first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I don't care a whit about getting a sweep," Pinnock said. "The only part of it that matters to me is it means we've got a lot of chances to get that last win."
Game 4 is set to be played on Wednesday, October 13th, 2032 at Red Bull Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Orlando Garza for the Shamrocks and Ricky Bolden Jr. for the Red Bulls.
