The Minneapolis Freeze started the Triple A League Championship in style today, winning on the road against the Antioch Coal Miners at The Coal Mine by a score of 7-1 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Freeze catcher Harley Ware was named player of the game after he belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice.

Ware's nice game included a clutch 3-run home run in the top of the first.

"We lost," Antioch manager John Smiley said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

Game 2 is set to be played on Sunday, October 10th, 2032 at The Coal Mine. The scheduled starters for the game are Jorge Olivo for Minneapolis and Lester Bisdu for Antioch.
