Cats Even With Flash After Walk-Off Win
|
In a crucial game, the Fort Worth Cats put on their best show, beating the Fairfield Flash by a final score of 1-0 today. Frank Hillier earned player of the game honors, as he threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Fort Worth and Fairfield are now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.
Fort Worth won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Jamie Newitt on the mound for Fairfield, first baseman Hirokichi Fujimoto hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Cats fans to their feet.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Fujimoto.
Game 5 is set to be played on Thursday, October 14th, 2032 at LaGrave Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Yeong-suk Kim for Fairfield and Kuniyoshi Nishiyama for Fort Worth.
