Brooklyn Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of center fielder Kawanari Takahashi, the Brooklyn Black Knights stopped the visiting Hawaii Islanders, 9-7, in Game 3 of the Divisional Round today. Takahashi went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Black Knights, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Takahashi came through for Brooklyn with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. He hit a 1-0 fastball to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Takahashi.
Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th, 2032 at Blue Ivy Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Ehrich Weiss for the Islanders and Tomás Bravo for the Black Knights.
