Pakpahan Blasts Black Knights, Islanders Take Game 2, 9-2
|
Hawaii first baseman Bagaskoro Pakpahan produced all the offense the Islanders would need today in the club's 9-2 win over the Brooklyn Black Knights.
Pakpahan hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice and was named player of the game, while Hawaii moved into a tie in the Divisional Round. The Islanders and Black Knights are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Pakpahan contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Hawaii get the win.
"We're happy," Pakpahan told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12th, 2032 at Blue Ivy Stadium. Slated to start are Allen Cox for Hawaii and Fred Price for Brooklyn.
