The Fairfield Flash powered past the hometown Antioch Coal Miners, 7-5, in the opener of the Triple A World Series at The Coal Mine today. Fairfield starting pitcher Camilo Pascual threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Flash now lead the series 1-0.

In the top of the second, Yoshitake Morita had a big run-scoring double off Willi Kehr. With the double, the Fairfield shortstop put his team in front, 1-0. He went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 times in the contest.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Pascual.

The next game is set to be played on Tuesday, October 19th, 2032 at The Coal Mine. Slated to start are Frank Hillier for the Flash and Matsuyo Koda for the Coal Miners.
