Pamungkas Blasts Marauders, Pioneers Take Game 1, 4-3
The Vancouver Pioneers started the Divisional Round in style today, winning on the road against the Maple Marauders at Legends Park by a score of 4-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Pioneers catcher Baskoro Pamungkas was named player of the game after he went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Vancouver took the lead in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases empty, Dan Rollins stroked a solo home run to make it 3-2, Pioneers.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro. "But we decided not to take it."

Game 2 is set to be played on Sunday, October 10th, 2032 at Legends Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Kenko Samurakami for Vancouver and Ze-dong Zhang for Maple.
