Nutting, Indians Sink Poly Again in Game 6
Riding the 2-hit performance of first baseman Chris Nutting, the Jefferson Indians got a road win against the Riverside Poly, 13-6, in Game 6 of the League Championship Series today. Nutting was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Indians, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 4 games to 2.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the fifth inning when the Indians sent teenager John Hadley to the plate against Poly hurler John Radtke. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 1-1 fastball to score 2.

Poly manager Gary Corwin did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Little League World Series."
