In a crucial game, the Riverside Poly put on their best show, beating the Jefferson Indians by a final score of 15-0 today. Jesus Mendoza earned player of the game honors, as he was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Riverside and Jefferson are now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Jesus Mendoza, hit a 3-run home run. It helped Riverside seize the win.

"I like easy wins," Mendoza told the Riverside Times. "And easy wins in the playoffs are even better."
