Avalos Blasts Poly, Indians Take Game 3, 11-4
Riding the 2-hit performance of third baseman Juan Avalos, the Jefferson Indians stopped the visiting Riverside Poly, 11-4, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. Avalos was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Indians, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Avalos had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Indians. Coming up with the bases loaded and Jefferson trailing 4-3, he hit a grand slam.

Avalos said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."

The next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 27th, 2032 at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Slated to start are Seth McMahill for the Poly and Kyle Simon for the Indians.
