Riverside Takes 1-0 Series Lead Behind 4 RBIs from C Davis
The Riverside Poly took a 1-0 lead in the League Championship Series on a walk-off at Apollos Ballpark today. Rookie catcher Tony Davis, 18, earned player of the game honors for the Poly, after he went 5-6 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Riverside left fielder Marshall Clark, facing Paul Giglio, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Poly the 13-12 win.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Riverside manager Gary Corwin said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

Game 2 is set to be played on Monday, May 24th, 2032 at Apollos Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Kyle Simon for the Indians and John Radtke for the Poly.
