Bulldogs Hammered by Gendreau, Drop Game 4 to Sycamores
|
The NCAA College World Series is tied at 2 games apiece, thanks to a dramatic walk-off victory at Pit Vipers Ballpark today for the Indiana State Sycamores.
19-year-old first baseman Tyler Gendreau was the star for Indiana State, as he went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the Pit Vipers Ballpark contest. The 5-4 Indiana State triumph allowed the team to even the best-of-7 series with the Fresno State Bulldogs at 2-2.
Gary Skinner was the walk-off hero for Indiana State. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sycamores shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We found a way to get it done," Gendreau said.
Game 5 is set to be played on Wednesday, May 26th, 2032 at Pit Vipers Ballpark. Slated to start are Matt Loomis for the Bulldogs and Christian Barnes for the Sycamores.
