The Havana Stogies used an offensive barrage to beat the New York Mafia, 10-2, at Don Corleone Park. Fernando Cruz led the way, going 3-for-5 for Havana. The first-place Stogies, at 67-24, now lead their division by 13 games.

Kohei Matsumoto played a key role in the win for the Stogies. The first baseman punched a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning. For the game, Matsumoto went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Havana manager Reynaldo Vázquez.
