Maple Hot Streak Continues with 12-4 Win
|
The Maple Marauders powered past the Vancouver Pioneers, 12-4, at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Dante Deleón went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Will Caron, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 5-2. Maple has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
Jae-hoon Park's at-bat in the top of the third was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 0-0. The Maple right fielder hit a 2-run single off Qi-chang Ec to put the Marauders up.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said Maple skipper Jesús Alfaro.
