Beavers Get One-Run Win at So Cal
Portland and So Cal played a hard-fought contest at House of the Republic.

Portland Beavers starter Jian-guo Yang turned in a top-notch performance against the So Cal Republic at House of the Republic. The result was a win for the Beavers, 3-2. The last-place Beavers now have a win-loss record of 38-52.

Vihaan Vedant, the Portland left fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to make the score 3-1, Beavers. For the game, Vedant was 1 for 4.

Afterward, Beavers manager Ryan Blandford was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
