|
In a tight battle between the Jacksonville Jacks and the Hawaii Islanders, pitcher John Faivre was in the zone. The Jacksonville right-hander was named the player of the game in Jacksonville's 3-0 win. The save was credited to Kichibei Endo, his 15th. The 4th-place Jacks now have a win-loss record of 36-50.
Also pitching in was Jacksonville first baseman Baber Khan, who hammered a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, Khan was 2 for 4 with a home run.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Leland Ray.
