Losing Streak Continues for Aces with 7-2 Loss to Mafia
The New York Mafia defeated the Columbus Aces, 7-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Jorge Castillo received player of the game honors. The 15-year veteran went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jun'ichi Suzuki was the winning pitcher. Over 8.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 13 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. The losses continue to add up for Columbus, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.

The Mafia beat the Aces with some clutch hitting. The double by Skip Clayton in the top of the second is a good example. With two down, Clayton gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Chris Schell, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
