Titans Win, Durant slugs 2 home runs
|
The Carl Albert Titans blasted the Pleasantville Panthers, 17-5. Evan Durant was one of the hitting stars. He was 4-6 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for Carl Albert. The third-place Panthers have lost 5 consecutive games.
Derek McIndoe helped the Carl Albert cause in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st and Carl Albert trailing 1-0, he put the hurt on a cutter from Kasey Doherty, launching it over the fence for a 2-run homer. The blast put the Titans in front, 2-1.
"I guess you could say we rocked this joint," said McIndoe.
