The Tioga Central Tigers picked up a win at Alleycats Ballpark, knocking off the Montreal Cardinals, 5-4. Starting pitcher Mike Jones was an essential part of his team's success. Tioga Central now sits in last place in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division at 28-37.

One of the key players for the Tigers was third baseman Marcus Francis, who drilled a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. For the game, Francis was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I had a good game plan," said Jones. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Gabriel McKinnes said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
