Victory Over Lions Takes Francis Lewis to 39-25
The Francis Lewis Patriots did just enough to sneak past the Lerna Lions, 6-5, at Ottawa HS Grounds. Francis Lewis first baseman Bill Hanson earned player of the game honors. Francis Lewis improves to 39-25 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.

Hanson came through with some timely hitting for Francis Lewis. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the second and one down, Hanson hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run single. His 91st hit of the season made it 4-2, Francis Lewis.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Hanson, "but we really needed that win."
