The Lerna Lions outscored the Downsview Mustangs, 11-10. Agustin Mateo led the way, going 3-for-5 for Lerna. Their 31-32 record puts the Lions third in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.

One significant plate appearance for Lerna came with no one out in the top of the tenth inning. Lions pinch hitter Luis Miramontes drew a walk, which helped Lerna go on to win.

"I like winning," Miramontes told the Lerna News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
