Cardinals Walk It Off for 34th Win of Season
The Montreal Cardinals did just enough to sneak past the Topeka West Chargers, 6-5, at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. Montreal first baseman Adam Clifton earned player of the game honors. The winner was Butch Haynes in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Chris Marks took the loss. The Chargers have now dropped 7 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Montreal second baseman Jim Goudeau, facing Chris Marks, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cardinals the 6-5 win.

Goudeau described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
