Blazers Top Bombers to Even Record

The Bloomington Blazers stymied the South Carolina Bombers, 6-2, at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Sean Clark, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for Bloomington. Toyotomi Nakano earned the save for Bloomington, his 10th. At 42-42, the Blazers are currently 4th in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Levi Meeuwenberg dealt the Bombers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Bloomington leading 3-2, Meeuwenberg, the three overall pick in the 2028 draft, hit a full count knuckleball for a run-scoring single.
"I really like what we did out there today," Meeuwenberg said after the game.
