Big Day by Harris Sparks Islanders Win
The Grand Island Islanders topped the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 11-6, with right fielder Dante Harris playing a big role. Harris went 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Islanders in the win. The winner was Josh Spencer in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Todd Ridley took the loss. Grand Island is now 27-33, Jacksonville State 30-30.

The Islanders got a lift from center fielder Kevin McCarthy who had a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning off Todd Ridley. It was his 5th triple of the season and put Grand Island in front, 1-0.

Harris told a Grand Island Times reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
