Jesus Aquilar did a number on the Vampires in the Derby 10-9 victory today, and the number was 5. The Panthers second baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Managua HS Grounds to lead his club past the Santa Clara Vampires.

"I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
