A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Gary Corbett, who leads the PRL with a 1.346 OPS, led the Tenafly Tigers to a 8-5 win over the Canby Lancers. The win was credited to Shane Roeske in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Casey took the loss. Earning his 8th save for Tenafly was John Curtis.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Logan Melton stroked a go-ahead 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put Tenafly in front, 5-3.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Corbett. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

After today's action, Tenafly sits at 28-30, while Canby falls to 30-28.
