Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Troy McKimm, the Jacksonville State Jaguars defeated the Riverside Poly, 8-4. McKimm was 2 for 2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Jaguars. Wyatt Pinnell got the win, improving to 6-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. At 30-28, the Jaguars find themselves in first place in the Hank Aaron League Willie Mays Division.
Also having an impact was second baseman Justin Wray, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third for Jacksonville State. For the game, Wray was 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
