Wakeman Leads Golden Bears to Win
The Billings West Golden Bears topped the Tioga Central Tigers, 6-3, with designated hitter Kyle Wakeman playing a big role. Wakeman belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Golden Bears in the win. Mike Lund converted his 13th save in 16 tries. The second-place Golden Bears have won 4 consecutive games.

In a game filled with surprises, perhaps none was as big as Wakeman's contribution. The Billings West designated hitter is a relative newcomer. With no one out in the bottom of the eighth, when the Golden Bears had runners on 1st and 2nd, Wakeman delivered a crucial 3-run home run.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Wakeman.
