Lewman Excels in George Washington Win
George Washington and Downsview got after it at Osprey Ballpark.

The George Washington Patriots topped the Downsview Mustangs, 10-4, with youngster Scott Lewman playing a key role. Lewman went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Patriots in the win. Matt Phillips earned the win to go to 2-4. He allowed 4 earned runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.

Andrew Bailey came through for George Washington in the bottom of the third. With no one out, Bailey victimized Zach Pohlmann with a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put George Washington on top, 3-2.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Bailey.

George Washington now owns a record of 25-32.
