Berg Finds Groove in 16-1 Triumph
The first-place Francis Lewis Patriots picked up another win at Ottawa HS Grounds.

Francis Lewis starter Sam Berg kept the Topeka West offense in check, while his team cruised to a 16-1 win. Francis Lewis goes to 35-22. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

Berg pitched a complete game for Francis Lewis. The 17-year-old right-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. He struck out 11 during his 100-pitch performance.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Topeka West manager Jack Fannon. "We got the snot knocked out of us."
