The George Washington Patriots beat the Lerna Lions, 13-7, at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. The Patriots got a fine performance from second baseman Ryan Cain, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. George Washington reliever Mike Griffith was the winner. His record is now 2-0. John Woods took the loss. The last-place Patriots are now 24-32, the Lions 27-29.

An important at-bat for George Washington came with two out in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, Cain hit a 2-run single, which contributed to the Patriots win.
