It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Karl Holman today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Managua HS Grounds and paced the Mustangs to a 10-2 win over the Derby Panthers.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Downsview right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Karl Holman singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jack Warren in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In this current campaign Holman is hitting at a .337 clip with 5 home runs and 21 RBIs.
