5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Grand Island's Ebbe Schmitz made it happen today against the Cardinals. Everything came together at the plate for the 16-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Islanders to a 12-4 win at Ballpark of Morelia HS.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Schmitz said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
