The Billings West Golden Bears downed the Downsview Mustangs, 12-8, at Guadalajara HS Grounds. The Golden Bears were led by Daniel Monaco, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Billings West bumps their record to 28-26 with the win.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Golden Bears grabbed the lead when Jason Klann rapped a two-out home run. Billings West was trailing 6-5, when Klann hit a 2-run home run off Valentin Carrio to put his team in front, 7-6.

In postgame comments to the Billings West Observer, Monaco said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
