Cardinals Rally to Eke Out Win
Montreal beat George Washington at Osprey Ballpark, escaping with a 8-7 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Mike Nelson, who earned player of the game honors. He went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI. The slumping Patriots have lost 6 straight.

The most important at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Kyle de la Rosa threw a 1-1 curveball to Nelson, which he hit to right for a run-scoring single. It put Montreal in front, 8-7.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Nelson.
