Panthers Reel Off Another Win
With second baseman John Bernard leading the charge, the Pitman High Panthers defeated the Pleasantville Panthers, 7-5, at Stealth Ballpark. Bernard was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Pitman High reliever Jerome Dixon was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Robert Simeone took the loss for Pleasantville. The first-place Panthers have won 6 consecutive games.

The most crucial at-bat for Pitman High came in the top of the ninth inning. That's when Bernard stroked a 0-1 sinker to right for a 2-run home run, putting Pitman High up, 7-5.
