Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Cardinals
Montreal starter Joe Crouch put a stranglehold on the Canby offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Cardinals to a 6-1 win. Montreal reliever Jonathan Hocker picked up the win to move to 1-3. Matt Westerfield suffered the loss. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 26-25.

Greg Clinton gave Montreal a good at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single to help send Montreal to the win.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Crouch.
